FAQ
Q. What is this website?
A. This website is a source for old software versions. It allows you to download any version that is archived in the database.
Q. Why would I want to come here to download?
A. Most software download / developer websites only keep the newest software version available for download, so finding a specific old version can be difficult to impossible.
Q. Why would I want an old software version?
A. Here's a few reasons why:
  • Newest version demands more system resources, runs slower, lags, etc.
  • You don't like the way a feature was changed
  • You don't like the new user interface
  • Newest version is now shareware, adware, etc.
  • Newest version is now bloated with too many features
  • Newest version is buggy, unstable, crashes
  • You can't run the newest version on a computer with old hardware or old operating system
  • You have a serial number only for a specific version
Q. Are the software versions on this website correct?
A. I manually install each version available for download on Oldware. I then verify the version by running the software and looking for the version. Finally I take a screenshot of the version. Any version with a screenshot has been installed and verified. I can not install 64-bit versions to verify. There are a few other reasons for why some versions have not been installed, but I try to install them all.

Currently 2303 out of the 2453 archived versions have been manually installed and verified.

Q. What operating system are the versions on this site for?
A. All versions archived on Oldware are for Windows based operating systems.
Q. Are there any serial numbers or cracks for software on this website?
A. No.
